ADORSU FOTO

About me

My name is Julius Kwasi Wisdom Adorsu, instead of calling myself a photographer I like to think of myself as an artist. For me, the camera is a tool of capturing a moment in time, a flicker of light in space.

I studied Automotive Technology and began working in the field in 2010, simultaneously creativity became liberating in my life. In 2017 after only a few months of being signed I was offered to go to South Africa to model. This has forever changed my life. At the time I’d been working a good corporate job for 8 1/2 years, I bet on myself and decided to quit.

I have worked hard to teach myself through trial and error over the last 10 years. After 5 years shooting digital photography the interest of film came into play. I wanted to learn where it all began and immersed myself.

Though I didn't study fine art formally, over the years museums have become my university. Going to The Louvre in Paris, Joan Miró museum in Spain and the Borghese Gallery in Italy bestowed upon my answers to questions I didn't know I had. It was in the discovery of great masters my vision became clear.

Our bodies are vessels housing the soul and true potential. By recognizing the beauty in each other in spite of this, is what the work aims to achieve.

Everything has a breath, and within that breath I’m beginning to capture The essence of our existence
